The University of Houston has recently established new research priorities, and for the first time, Aerospace has been prominently designated as a key research focus of the university. The MIRO award of the IDEAS² Center has been instrumental in achieving this recognition. As reported last month, following the MIRO award, the Department of Mechanical Engineering officially changed its name to the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
