UH Students Intern at NASA Johnson Space Center – Clear Lake, Texas

Three University of Houston students are currently completing summer internships at NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) as part of the IDEAS² Center.

  • Salvador Gonzalez, working in the Loads and Dynamics Branch, is developing a novel MATLAB-based interface to simulate contact mechanics within Simscape Multibody for the Lunar Gateway’s Fluid Transfer Coupler.
  • Bradley Cline, an intern in the Structures Branch, is developing software to analyze creep behavior in deployable structures, generating visualizations such as strain heat maps and animations from experimental point field data.
  • Amy Le, also with the Loads and Dynamics Branch, is contributing to modeling of the Boeing Starliner and analyzing VIPER rover vibration data, applying signal processing and structural dynamics tools to validate analytical models.
