New Aerospace Courses at UH

As part of the expansion of the aerospace program at the University of Houston through the NASA MIRO IDEAS² Center, three new aerospace courses were introduced in the Fall 2025 semester:

1. Introduction to Aerodynamics, by Dr. M.K. Lee
2. Aerospace Structures, by Dr. Hussein Nassar
3. Tensegrity Engineering for Space Systems, by Dr. Muhao Chen

Each course includes both an undergraduate senior elective and a graduate-level section, supporting UH’s Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department and its undergraduate Aerospace Engineering minor.

These new additions expand UH’s aerospace curriculum and provide students with specialized, hands-on training aligned with regional and national aerospace workforce needs.
