Equipment Received for the New IDEAS² Aerospace Mechanics & Materials (AeM²) Laboratory

In August 2025, state-of-the-art equipment was delivered to support IDEAS² space infrastructure research. The new assets include a Stratasys Origin Two SLA/DLP printer, a Universal Robots UR12e robotic arm, and an Ideal Vacuum chamber and pump.

These systems are housed in the Aerospace Mechanics & Materials (AM²) Laboratory, where they will enable advanced fabrication, robotic assembly, and testing of aerospace structures and components.

This investment strengthens UH’s capabilities for cutting-edge research in support of space exploration, providing tools for both faculty and students to design and test innovative aerospace materials and mechanisms.
